It’s nice to know that the future arrived more subtly than I ever expected. I mean, I never would have guessed that they’d be using an origami-inspired piezo-electric substance as a small focussing motor for digital cameras.

Or that they’d create a magnetic ink in full colour, that could maintain its image-holding properties for up to twelve years without additional outside power.

Or that they’d finally figure out how to create artificial spider silk.

Still, it is the year 2003, and I’m kinda wondering: where are my flying cars?
