It all started with the humble pocket protector. Well, probably not, but it is one of the most iconic symbols of geekdom. Then geekdom went all upscale, and and we got new threads to go with the gadgets and gewgaws we were always carrying around. Hence the SCOTTeVEST and the RoadWired Podzilla; the former being the ultimate in stealth geek-toy storage and utility, the latter being, well, more organized and identifiably geeky.

The downside, of course, is that if you actually own enough gear to need both these items to stow them all in, then you run the risk of jangling (sort-of) everywhere you walk, as well as a greater chance of accidental drowning. Probably a risk worth taking, overall, just so that your pants pockets don’t bulge outwards in an unseemly fashion. And, you’re also less likely to suffer accidental bottom-revelation due to the weight of the gear in said pockets.
